What 10,000 checks cost on each one
ZeroBounce charges $129 for a one-time pack of 10,000 credits, or $99 a month on its ZeroBounce ONE subscription. Here is the same volume elsewhere. Packs are paid once and monthly plans repeat, so these are not like for like.
- MillionVerifier: $39 one-time.
- Mails.so: €48 a month on its Pro plan.
- Bouncer: $60 one-time.
- VeriDock: $21.50 for one month, including overage.
- Hunter: $149 a month is its plan that covers this volume, with about 20,000 verifications.
- Emailable: it lists larger packs, but we could only read its 5,000 price, which is $38 one-time.
MillionVerifier: the lowest price at very high volume
At a million checks, MillionVerifier charges $449, which is the lowest price we have found at that volume and less than half of a month of VeriDock. It credits back catch-all and unknown results, and its credits never expire. It suits large one-off list cleans more than a live API in your product.
Bouncer: EU hosting and credits that last
Bouncer states that it is located and hosted in the EU, which some procurement teams require. Its credits never expire, so it suits occasional cleaning, and it adds a toxicity score. Its free credits come once, at signup: 100 of them.
Emailable: pay as you go, or a subscription that rolls over
Emailable gives new accounts 250 credits once. Its credits never expire, and unused subscription credits keep rolling over, which suits irregular volume. Credits for unknown results are returned when a list finishes.
Mails.so and Hunter: when you also need to find emails
Both include an email finder, which ZeroBounce also offers and VeriDock does not. Mails.so has an unlimited plan at €498 a month, which becomes attractive above roughly 500,000 checks a month. Hunter pools verification with its lead database and cold email tools, and it works out several times more per check than VeriDock, so it makes most sense if you would use those too.
VeriDock: a focused API with recurring free checks
We give you 250 free checks every month, not once. Monthly plans start at $9, unknown results are never billed, each API key can have a hard spend cap, and test keys never use credits. We only do verification, and at very high volume MillionVerifier is cheaper. Paid credits roll over for 60 days, so packs that never expire suit a once-a-year clean better.
When to stay with ZeroBounce
Switching only to save money can be the wrong call. ZeroBounce remains a strong choice in these cases.
- You need published certifications: it lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA with a BAA, and VeriDock has not published any yet.
- You want one account for verification, inbox placement tests, blacklist and DMARC monitoring, and warmup.
- You act on its finer statuses, such as separate spamtrap, abuse and do_not_mail results.
How to test a switch safely
Accuracy is the part a price list can't tell you, and we have not published a benchmark. Take a few hundred addresses from your own list, run them through both services using free credits, and look closely at the addresses where the two disagree. Then map the statuses in your code and change the provider behind one setting, so you can switch back.
